Knitting at IRIS: Simple, Functional and Beautiful

Cotton, linen, hemp, soy and bamboo! Plant based fibers are the joy of summer at IRIS.

We have thirty summer garments on display. Our staff is very experienced with plant based fibers and can give you any level of assistance you might need. Select patterns and yarn by Louet, Rowan, HABU, Debbie Bliss, Gedifra, Katia, Araucania, Classic Elite, Sublime, Maggie, Brown Sheep, Blue Sky Alpaca, Tahki, Frabjous Fibers and Hemp for Knitting.

Just for Kids Knit School

We're offering knitting lessons specifically designed for kids. The groups will be limited to four students.

The kids will learn the basics of knitting and make a small garter stitch bag. Cost $58 (includes materials).

Knitting @ IRIS

Tuesday Evenings 6-7:30 pm July and August
Bring your projects and knitting problems to our new evening knitting offering. We'll have light snacks, good company, and an instructor to assist you with your knitting questions. $5 per evening. Please register.

Wednesday Mornings 8-9:30 am August and September
If you are an early bird, join us for breakfast and knitting Wednesday mornings for the same format. $5 per morning.

HABU Textiles Trunk Show and Class: October 24 and 25
Takako Ueki will return for her 3rd visit, bringing 40 sensational garments. She'll teach a class on how to read Japanese style patterns on Saturday. Call for more information and to register. Fee.

The Comforts of Home Display
Blankets, slippers, hot water bottle covers, pillows, bed jackets, throws and classic sweaters for a lovely winter evening at home with the family. We'll have items on display that you will love to knit.
