General Information
Thanks for your interest in our classes. We’re eager to answer your questions or assist you in any other way. We limit enrollment to 4 students so that you receive individualized attention. If the scheduled classes don’t work for you, please contact us about a private class. Classes are taught by Angela Juergens. Angela has taught hundreds of people how to knit and looks forward to working with you. She has a degree in knitwear fashion design and many of her designs are published by major knitting magazines and leading yarn companies. You can register by stopping at the store, calling, or emailing us. We request payment at time of registration.
Private Classes $35/Hour
If our class options don’t meet your needs, you might consider a private class. Please talk with Angela about your interests and the two of you can set up a time and date to meet.

Introduction to Knitting $30
This class will give an idea of what knitting is about and you will learn to cast on, the knit stitch and to cast off using continental knitting style.
Purchase or bring knitting needle circular US 7 or 8. Yarn provided.
Class meets one time (2 hours).

Beginning Crochet $35
Learn chain stitch, single and double crochet, turning chain and make a flower
Bring crochet hook US F or G. Yarn provided.
Class meets one time (total 2 1/2 hours).

Beginning Knitting $75
In this class you will learn the foundational skills for knitting. You do not need to take “Introduction to Knitting” before taking this class.
Learn continental knitting style and knitting basics including casting on, knitting, purling, casting off, increasing and decreasing, weaving in ends.
Purchase or bring circular US 7 or 8 24 inch bamboo circular knitting. Yarn provided
Class meets three times (2 hours each time/total 6 hours).

Baby Booty $50
Learn to read a pattern, mattress stitch, yarn over and picking up stitches.
Materials needed: 50 grams worsted weight yarn, US6 circular, 1 double pointed needle in same size
Class meets two times (2 hours each time/ 4 hours total)
Basic Hat $50
Make a basic hat knitted in the round. Learn how to do calculations to knit it in any size and with any weight yarn.
Materials needed: 50 to 100 grams of yarn in weight of your choice. 16 inch circular and double pointed needles. Size based on weight of the yarn you use.
Class meets two times (2 hours each time/ 4 hours total)
Fair Isle Fingerless Gloves $50
Learn Fair Isle two color knitting techniques, reading a pattern, mattress stitch.
Materials needed: worsted weight yarn in two colors: main color 110 yards and contrasting color 35 yards. US 7 straight or circular needles
Class meets two times (2 hours each time/ 4 hours total)
Finishing $30
Learn basic knitting finishing skills including mattress stitch, Kitchener stitch, weaving in ends, garter stitch seam, picking up stitches
Bring 3 swatches made from same yarn (worsted or DK weight yarn)
- 4x4 inch garter stitch swatch
- 6x6 inch stockinette stitch swatch
- Two swatches each left on needles: cast on 20 stitches and knit 2 inches of stockinette fabric
Class meets one time (total 2 hours).

Girl’s Dress $100
Make a child’s dress up to size 4 years. Learn how to read a pattern, do armhole and neck shaping, and stitches for a lace border
Materials needed: To be announced later.
Class meets four times (2 hours each time/ 8 hours total)
Lace $30
Learn how to read a chart, knitting with light weight yarns and to use stitches used in lace knitting including yarn over, knit two together, etc.
Materials needed: Skacel Lace Circular US7 24” or 32”. 1 skein lace weight yarn
Class meets one time (2 hours total)
Pick Your Own Project $125
Learn the specific knitting skills of your choice. This could be a sweater, socks, lace scarf, gloves or a combination of projects.
Materials needed: per your project.
Class meets five times (2 hours each time/ 10 hours total)
Socks on Double Points $100
Learn to knit adult sized socks using top down techniques including use of double pointed needles, knitting in the round, short rows, picking up stitches, Kitchener stitch. You will make one sock during class time and work on the second sock at home as home work between classes.
Bring 100 grams fingering weight yarn (Koigu or something similar), set of 5 size US 2 double pointed needles. Please buy two sets of needles; one for sock knit during class times and a second set for sock that you will work on as home work. Pattern provided.
Class meets four times (2 hours each time/total 8 hours)
Top-Down Baby Cardigan $125
Make a knitted baby cardigan: learn how to read a pattern, increase and decrease, make button holes, correct common errors, and knit with a circular knitting needle. Up to size 2 – 3 years.
Bring US 6 24 or 32 inch circular knitting needle, 6 buttons and DK weight yarn.
300 yards for size 0 – 6 month size
400 yards for 6 – 12 month size
500 yards for 2 – 3 year size
